Myrtle Craig Mowbray, Class of 1907, was the first female black graduate from M.A.C. She was one of only four black students on campus and the only female of the four. She received her diploma from President Theodore Roosevelt, who was the guest speaker at graduation in 1907 when the college celebrated its semi-centennial.
