Head basketball coach Ben Van Alstyne and five players flew to Milwaukee in a passenger bi-plane to play Marquette. it is believed to be the first flight in the nation by a collegiate team. The players were: Dee Pinneo, Art Haga, Randall Boeskool, Edward Scott, and Roger Grove. With only five players, there were no substitutions.
