This image is of a poster advertising for a "Land Clearing Short Course" sponsored by Michigan Agricultural College. Again, land clearing was an extremely important part of the Service. Being able to help farmers increase the acreage that they could farm allowed the state of Michigan to be able to become a major player in the agricultural scene in the United States.
