The Spring 2000 Undergraduate Student Convocation takes place in the Breslin Center. After the senior student speech, Arnold L. DeMain is presented with an honorary degree of Doctor of Science. James D. Wolfensohn, President of the World Bank Group, gives the keynote speech and is then given an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree. MSU President M. Peter McPherson provides closing remarks, and the MSU Symphony Band performs "MSU, We Love Thy Shadows", one of the "Pomp and Circumstance" marches, and "Victory for MSU".
