Image of Beal Garden before the vegetation matured. Two men are sitting on one of the foot bridges and in the background from left to right is the Mechanical Laboratory, the 1st Wells Hall, and the residence of Thomas Gunson. The back of photo has many notes, "Botanical Garden probably some in the 1890s. Bldgs - L. to R. Mech. Lab., Wells Hall, Residence of Mr. Gunson. Spring 1896 before vegetation had made much progress. Taken by Woodworth."
