A "Thank You" breakfast is held at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, Michigan, to honor people associated with the "MSU Safe Place" shelter at Michigan State University. A reporter from People Magazine visited the campus to report on the shelter and the program, which was proposed by MSU First Lady Joanne McPherson and became the first university-based shelter to provide support to victims of domestic violence and stalking in the country.
