The Spartans finished the game with a school record low in rushing yards: -5. However, quarterback Mark Herrmann became the all-time Big Ten leader in career completions (427) in this game, and punter Ray Stachowicz set a Spartan record for the longest punt in Big Ten play (73 yards).
