Footage of the September 1979 non-conference game against the Oregon Ducks at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. MSU Head Coach - Darryl Rogers; Oregon Head Coach - Rich Brooks. Spartans won 41-17.

Running back Derek Hughes scored a touchdown on a 100-yard kickoff return, breaking the Spartan record previously held by Russ Reader (98 yards) in 1946.
