Stephanie Sheffield received her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing from Michigan State University and is now a lecturer in technical communication within the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan. Her current research focuses on improving the learning experiences of students working in teams, particularly those in Design/Build/Test courses, with a particular emphasis on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion that arise in those contexts. Sheffield was interviewed on April 2, 2021 by Patrick O'Grady for the Writing Center at Michigan State University's Oral History Research Project.
