Matt Cox graduated with his Ph.D from Michigan State University and is currently an associate professor of English and coordinator of the Ph.D program in Rhetoric, Writing, and Professional Communication at East Carolina University. His research interests include queer and LGBT rhetorics, studies in professionalization and identity as a narrative, technical and personal writing, cultural rhetorics, and rhetorics of intersectionality. Cox was interviewed on July 8, 2020 and August 6, 2020 for the Writing Center at Michigan State University's Oral History Research Project.
