Overview of campus life leading into 1955's centennial celebrations at MSU. A narrator indicates that the second half of the January 8, 1955 Michigan State vs. Wisconsin basketball will get underway in about ten minutes, and uses part of that time to talk about the upcoming Winter 1955 term. The film begins with shots of Jenison Field House, the Spartan statue, Macklin Stadium, and the Michigan State ice rink.

Students are shown returning to the Michigan State campus and enrolling for classes. Recreation facilities are also shown, with scenes of students enjoying social gatherings. The narrator indicates that 1955 will be the centennial year for Michigan State, and that the basketball game will be the first of many great events to celebrate Michigan State's 100 years as the country's oldest land-grant university.
