Description:

The marching band forms a stick man on the football field. Text on the back of the photograph reads: "This giant drum major looks about to span the football field in one stride. It is one of many 1955 formations done by the highly regarded MSU marching band. The 125-piece Spartan band will appear at the 1956 Rose Bowl game." This photograph was taken by D.D. Thorp and Frank Godfrey.
