The photograph documents the ceremonial planting of oak trees for World War I war dead. The back reads, "War Memorial to WWI Dead. Dedication 1922 [sic]. Planted 1 red oak tree for each soldier lost, located W[est] of Williams Hall (2)." This image was featured in the 1920 Wolverine yearbook.
