A REO-Grams newsreel. Mrs. Evangeline Lindbergh is presented with gifts honoring her husband, aviator Charles Lindbergh. Marine navigation items such as buoys, spars and lights are made ready. Members of the Detroit Cougars (now Red Wings) hockey team teaches some neighborhood kids hockey on a local rink. Michigan State College (MSC) head baseball coach John Kobs prepares prospects for the 1928 team. Survivors of the Veterans of the Michigan Naval Brigade gather on their 30th anniversary to commemorate the Spanish-American War. Public school children dedicate a bird sanctuary and plant trees at Detroit's Palmer Park. Riverview Park in Detroit is demolished. An 800-ton ice house is moved three blocks for street widening. A pheasant at State Game Farm in Mason shows off a set of tail feathers nearly five feet long. A life-size statue, a memorial of those killed in the Bath School disaster, is sculpted by University of Michigan sculptor Carleton W. Angell for the foyer of the new Bath School.
