MSU President M. Peter McPherson awards an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws to Ernest Green, MSU alumnus and one of the Little Rock Nine, the first African American students to attend Central High School in Arkansas in 1957. Green then gives the convocation address to 3,550 MSU graduates.
