Footage of the October 1966 game against the Purdue Boilermakers at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. MSU Head Coach - Duffy Daugherty; Purdue Head Coach - Jack Mollenkopf. Spartans won 41-20.

Michigan State (#2) takes on Purdue (#9) in this October 22 game at Spartan Stadium, with just over 70,000 in attendance. Running back Dwight Lee starts off the scoring with a 3 yard run touchdown in the first quarter. MSU quarterback Jimmy Raye scores on a 16 yard run, and throws a 6 yard pass to running back Bob Apisa, both for second quarter touchdowns.

Apisa scores two more touchdowns in the third quarter, while Purdue quarterback Bob Griese scores touchdowns on short runs in the third and fourth quarters. Purdue running back Bob Hurst also scores a fourth quarter touchdown (but the point after fails), and MSU running back Regis Cavender scores MSU's final touchdown of the game (but a two-point pass conversion also fails). Other MSU players include Gene Washington and Clinton Jones.
