Highlight footage of the September 1944 game against the University of Scranton Tomcats at Macklin Field in East Lansing, Michigan. MSC Head Coach - Charlie Bachman; Scranton Head Coach - Pete Carlesimo. Spartans won 40-12.

Note: This game marked the return of Michigan State College's football team after it was suspended in the 1943 season due to World War II. The University of Scranton team had also been suspended in 1943, but they had played two previous games in the 1944 season prior to traveling to East Lansing.
