Description:

MSU President Peter McPherson dresses up as Michigan State's first president Joseph Williams at a costume ball cotillion on the grounds of Cowles House to celebrate MSU's 140th anniversary. Former MSU President Walter Adams is the Master of Ceremonies, and former Presidents Gordon Guyer and Cecil Mackey are in attendance. The cotillion led off 10 years of events that would culminate in the 2005 sesquicentennial celebration of the college.
