Description: View taken from SW corner of west stands looking east across north end of gridiron. Approximately 800 cubic yards of dirt is removed daily at an approximate cost of 50 cents per yard. About 85% of total excavation is now complete. It will be noted that the operation of relaying the sod has been started. The sod was placed on 4" of loam properly tamped in 1" layers. The placing of concrete beams will be noted on the left hand side which will form the foundation to the new seats across the north end of the bowl.
