This photograph is in a scrapbook of pictures put together by international student Onn Mann Liang while he was in the U.S. from 1922 to 1932. This image shows Liang leaning against a railing on a ship, after his graduation from MSC and after six years of working for the Michigan State Highway Department. He returned to China in 1932 aboard the SS President Cleveland, a steamship with American President Lines.
