Michigan State College Marching band forms the famous "S" during the halftime show at the October 17, 1953 Homecoming Game versus Indiana University. The back reads: "MSC Marching Band - 1953. Indiana vs. MSC (Homecoming) Oct. 17, 1953, Half-time show. The big 'S' is succesful again in thwarting an attempt upon its record and is saluted by the band. Song: 'Fight Song'"
