This photograph shows a view of the Beal Botanical Garden. The text on the front reads: "Botanical Gardens" The text on the back reads: "Oct. 29, 1909. Dear Mother, All O.K. Feeling fine. Am going down to Bijou tonight. Will take in Saginaw and Lansing game tomorrow and am going to get a bunch to yell for Saginaw. Bernie went home tonight. That was my pen kit found. I must have lost it while playing over there before supper. It is mighty lucky he found it. It seems a month since I was home instead of a week. I hope Michigan wins tomorrow. If I was on the scrub team I could come home tomorrow for they play Mr. Pleasant tomorrow. I wish it was time for baseball or basektball so that I could get a little exercise. As it is I don’t get much. It tried to snow this afternoon but stopped after a few minutes. I am going down to meet the Saginaw team in the morning and will bring them out and show them the college. I hear Gus and some other girl are coming down. I wish Charlotte and Elizabeth could come too. I will hand write a nice long letter Sunday but I have quite a lot of Chemistry to write up. With Lots of Love, Norman."
