Description: This photograph shows students celebrating United Nations week during the Summer of 1947. The attached caption reads: "This is United Nations Week, and the center of the observance on the Michigan State college campus is the International Center where dozens of students from foreign countries regularly congregate and often form lasting friendships. Six nations, including the United States, are parties to this informal discussion on world affairs typical of the Center's activities. Left to right, standing, are Jean Le Junter, of Brittany, France; Orlando Rodriquez, of Managua, Nicaragua; Miss Wilma Pinch, of Lansing; George Vayionis, of Athens, Greece, and Shao Chang Lee, director of the International Institute.
