The Rachana Rajendra Neotropical Migrant Bird Sanctuary is dedicated at Michigan State University's Baker Woodlot. Rajendra, an electrical engineer and University of Michigan graduate who loved birds, died tragically in a car accident at the age of 27. Dr. Bill Taylor (Acting Dean, College of Agrictulture and Natural Resources), Dr. Thomas Coon (Acting Chair, Department of Fisheries and Wildlife), Dr. Kelly Millenbah (Fisheries and Wildlife Professor) and Rajendra's family are all on-hand for the natural area dedication.
