Hanging on the wall is a painting of Maude Gilchrist, the first Dean of Women at M.A.C. Written on the back of the photo reads, "Living Room - Maude Gilchrist home management home. Portrait by Mrs. Gunson on the wall. The Thorp children, great-great-great children of Dr. Kedzie resident of the house - 1863-1902. Razed in 1947 for new girls dormitories on Faculty Row." Index card with the photo reads, "Frank Kedzie Thorp and Margaret Louise Thorp Miller, children of Dr. Frank Thorp and Margaret Plant Thorp. The picture was taken in the same room in which their grandparents, Louise Clark Plant and Pearl Kedzie were married on December 20, 1900. Dr. Robert C. Kedzie was living in the house on Faculty Row at the time of the marriage. The writing on the back of the picture is that of Maude Gilchrist.
