Description:
The Michigan State College Band travels by train to the 1954 Rose Bowl. The film begins with the band practicing in East Lansing under the direction of Leonard Falcone and assistant director Oscar Stover. After this introduction, the band is seen boarding a train and traveling west. Along the way, the band stops and performs in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, El Paso, Tucson, Alhambra and Los Angeles.
The tour is highlighted in Pasadena, California, where the band performs in the 65th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade, and the 1954 Rose Bowl. The next day, the band continues on to San Francisco, where it performs at the East-West game. The band continues its train tour eastward, performing in Salt Lake City and concluding their tour in Denver before heading back to East Lansing.
