MSU Drama Professor Donald O. Buell discusses Broadway productions from the 1959-60 season on his own theater review program, "Curtain Going Up". Buell inaugurated the radio program at Michigan State in 1938, and it continued until it developed into a half-hour television show on Michigan State's television station WMSB in 1954. This National Association of Educational Broadcasters (NAEB) production with announcer Gordon Gainer was the final broadcast of "Curtain Going Up" - Buell died at his home in East Lansing on June 8, 1960, at the age of 53.
