Track and field athletes participate in the 1966 Big Ten Indoor Championship at Jenison Field House in East Lansing, Michigan. Records achieved include Jim Garrett defending his long jump title, with a jump of 23' 6 3/4", and Gene Washington completing the 70-yard low hurdles in 7.9 seconds, and the 70-yard high hurdles in 8.3 seconds. Dick Sharkey set a conference record and tied the field house record for the 2-mile run, with a time of 9:01.4.
