MSU basketball coach Jud Heathcote is interviewed by an unnamed off-camera interviewer. Heathcote discusses Magic Johnson's impact on NCAA basketball, and his reaction to Johnson's announcement that he was HIV-positive. Heathcote comments further on Johnson's impact on basketball, citing a game at Jenison Field House in which Johnson had been injured, but returned later in the game. The interview took place the day after Johnson announced his AIDS diagnosis, and his retirement from basketball.
