Giving

University Archives is responsible for preserving the rich heritage and legacy of Michigan State University. This could
not be accomplished without the assistance of alumni, friends, and donors. Your support will improve the quality of our
collections and expand the services we provide. It will also allow us to preserve our unique collections, digitize
material for online access, and fund important projects.

Collections Your history is our country’s
history. Letters from relatives, a grandparent’s diary, old family photographs, and other materials collected over the
years provide unique information about your life and the history of your family. These documents may be important to the
local community. When you donate personal or family papers to an archive, your family history becomes a permanent part
of the community’s—and the nation’s—collective memory. Your support improves the quality of our collections. If you wish
to donate personal papers, photographs, scrapbooks, audio-visual materials, or other in-kind materials, please contact
Jennie Rankin, acquisitions archivist of the UAHC.
